Incredible artwork, many little hallways and corners filled with fascinating paintings. Goya painted himself into one of the murals-and he’s quite a handsome fellow. Although being a rather good artist I’m sure he would make himself looking dapper. The gentleman working here gave us some some photo tips and historical background. He was very friendly and non-pretentious which was very welcoming. I would absolutely put this Basilica on the top of my list. It’s walking distance from the Palace.

I don’t have pictures because you are not allowed, but this church is one of the greatest in Madrid, better than Almudena. It’s free and the dome it’s incredible, it should be a must for everyone that visits Madrid. Also, close to the church, there is a park where you can see incredible sunsets. A must!!!!
