Named after the nearby ruins of a paper mill, Playa del Molino de Papel remains a pristine, secluded pebble beach surrounded by cliffs and lapped by crystalline waters perfect for snorkeling. A small river mouth overgrown with reeds divides the stony shore into two coves. Follow a narrow, steep footpath from the parking lot that leads down into the bay to get to the beach. Since it slopes quite steeply, watch your step when entering the water or wear water shoes. There are no amenities on the beach, so pack everything you need, from refreshments to snorkeling gear. The road down to the beach can only be accessed driving from La Herradura towards Nerja. There is no sign just a gap in the armco barrier leading down to the old original coast road. Then just follow.... more

This is a stoney beach but that keeps the crowds away. It was quiet and we went snorkelling. The water was ok bu not that clear and the there was some colder water mixed into the seawater. Probably..... more

Small beach with pebbles and rocks. You need to have proper shoes to get into the water. Easy access to the beach. You can leave your car on the side of the road and walk the rest.
