Catedral de Segovia
Wherever you wander around town, the towering 16th-century Gothic style Catedral de Segovia looms above you. You should have no problems finding plenty of angles from which to photograph it. As you wander the building's perimeter, check out the sculpture of the Virgin Mary on the main facade. Once inside, take your time to appreciate the high vaults, dome, stained glass windows, and many paintings and sculptures. Head into the archive to see “The Synod of Aguilafuente,” the first book printed in Spain. The massive tower is only accessible with special permission from the cathedral's administrators, so don’t expect views. Put Catedral de Segovia and other Segovia attractions into our Segovia tour planner, and watch your holiday take shape.

All of these are different if you are into European churches. This one is really special with the collection of tapestries and vestiments.

Wasn't sure about this visit having read other posts. It was awesome! Booked onto the Tower and cathedral visit €7. The tower is four times each day 10.30, 12.00, 13.30 and 16.00 (from memory). We booked onto the 10.30, meeting up at the entrance to the tower. This is where you receive your audio guide. The tower is 190 steps but helpfully has two stops en-route. The first is where a video explains the history of the cathedral. It is in Spanish with English subtitles and is projected onto three walls. The next stop is the bell ringers house and then the top platform where the bells look out over the city. Back down in the cathedral and each alcove is lit by sensor. The cloisters are wonderful and off these are exhibition rooms. Worthwhile visit.

Nice cathedral. Students get a discount for this. I would recommend the tour through the tower. Often this tour is in Spanish but you can get English audio. Sometimes the audio can't be heard because the headphones/device are of low quality. The view from the tower is absolutely magnificent.
