Create an itinerary including Catedral de Sevilla
One of the largest Gothic churches in the world, Catedral de Sevilla is the final resting place of Christopher Columbus and a World Heritage Site. The awe-inspiring cathedral is 126 m (413 ft) long and 83 m (272 ft) wide, built on the site of a former mosque. The mosque’s minaret, now serving as a converted bell tower, still stands right next to the cathedral. Climb up this emblematic tower for sweeping views of Seville, or tour the interior to see the longest nave of any cathedral in the country. Inside the main body of the cathedral, the most noticeable features are the choir lofts and the carved scenes from the life of Christ. A single craftsman, Pierre Dancart, spent his entire life completing the work on the richly detailed altarpiece, considered one of the finest in the world. • A truly stunning place. Last time I went I didn't have to pay, but it was a small charge. It is so opulent - and although there were lots of people around it was never crowded. A must see in Seville.

  • Absolutely loved the Cathedral. I went up to the top of Tower which has amazing views, it's 34 floors high so make sure it is something you can do before you start. The monuments, stain glass windows and the architecture are out of this world. There are plenty of seats for you to sit and take everything in. You don't need to be religious to be taken In by the beauty or any of the interesting history this place holds.
  • Well, you can’t come to Sevilla without going to this cathedral. Really amazing tour of everything that lasted nearly 2 hours. The inside of the cathedral is just unreal in size and some of the work is breath taking. There is so much history you can feel it. This is a must tour regardless of whether or not you are religious. We recommend a guided tour.
