Enjoy the sun and surf on Paseo Maritimo de Poniente, one of the Costa del Sol’s longest seaside promenades. At nearly 3 km (1.86 mi) long, Torre del Mar’s waterfront path provides a wide range of green spaces, dining options, and outdoor activities. Rent a bike and zip along the walkway’s special bike lanes, or simply stroll through its gardens and open spaces. The promenade is the site of many bars and cafes as well as local fishermen selling their freshly-caught and freshly-grilled specialties. Play areas for children are also well-equipped and spread out along its length, meaning that the area is very family-friendly. Be sure to bring your camera as the parks and palm groves in the area are home to a sizeable flock of wild green parakeets.
