Home to the burial ground of the Swedish monarchs, Riddarholmen Church represents one of the oldest buildings in the capital city and is used to this day for commemorative burials (although the congregation dissolved in 1807). The church was originally built in the 13th century as a monastery, but was closed and transformed into a Protestant church following the Protestant Reformation. Of particular interest are the coats of arms of passed knights of The Order of Seraphim that hang from the church walls. Only say this medieval church from outside, but it is impressive mix of gothic style with baroque chapels. Pay attention to the spire it is not very typical.
