Situated just west of the Rosendal Palace, Rosendals Garden serves as a public space that is famous for its lovely gardens as well as its shop, cafe, and bakery. Swedish King Karl XIV Johan developed this area into an English park in the 19th century; it was opened to visitors with the goal of educating the public about the history of agriculture and gardening. Today you can walk along paths in the tranquil European gardens, including the fruit, rose, and wine gardens. Stop in to the site's popular gardening and gift shop or pull up a seat at the cafe or bakery to sample some renowned baked goods. The cafe serves up food and wines made from plants grown in the gardens. Plan to visit Rosendals Garden during your Stockholm vacation using our convenient Stockholm travel tool.

  • Great place with a lovely garden for having lunch. They grew the vegetables there and everything we tasted was amazing. There was a very long queue, but it goes very fast -- so, don't quit, it is totally worth it.
  • One of the cosiest places in Stockholm. Located in the middle of the Djurgården, it feels like being out on the countryside. Beautiful flowers, lots of seating and great pastries. A must for every Stockholm visit.
