Admire the grand and evocative design of Temple Of Dawn (Wat Arun), a towering Buddhist temple located in the heart of Bangkok. Established in the 1600s--but gaining its distinctive porcelain-clad prangs (spires) during the reign of King Rama II in the early 19th century--the temple represents an apex of religious architecture and is one of the best maintained of all buildings commissioned by the Thai monarchy. Open to the public as a place of worship and tourism, the site contains prized artifacts relating to the religious and royal history of Thailand. • Amazing architecture. This temple commands great presence yet exudes a peaceful atmosphere. We went early morning to avoid the heat and crowds. Perfect timing. Well worthy a visit.

  • Cool place. I am very glad that Thailand has such a respectful attitude towards its rich culture. The entire territory of the temple looks very beautiful and well-kept. The skill and imagination of the sculptors amazes me. The entrance ticket costs 100 baht, and also at the entrance, all visitors are given a bottle of water along with the ticket. You can also get to the other side of the river by boat for just 5 baht. I recommend to try to see the beauty of the temple when you cross the river by boat.
  • You can find a boats near by Grand palace. The night view was really amazing. One of the best places to visit in BANGKOK!!!... The furry service was cheap and best. Bit long wait time.. But it's worth the go.... I felt they could have maintained better. Found people cheating around this area. Saying the palace is closed today & takes you to another location... Beware!!
