No guided tours or the like so my wife spent an hour or so wandering inside. Very interesting. They are working on restoring the organ and that was neat to see.

Since I was in Haarlem for a day and the weather wasn't as great as expected, I decided to take a look into the St. Bavo Church. The entrance fee was about €2,50, which will be used to maintain the church. Inside the church you will find a large organ, which is one of the world's most important organs. It was played by many famous artists, including a 10 year old Mozart (1766) and Medelssohn. Fortunately the church has undergone multiple restoration projects over the years with the goal of maintaining the original look.

Find out when the guided tours are and see the church that way. The stories our guide shared with us made this lovely church come alive, as well as the people who built it, worshiped there and were buried there. What a fascinating house of worship!!
