A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Start off your visit on the 25th (Mon): see the interesting displays at Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile, then walk around Parco del Valentino, and then examine the collection at Museo Nazionale del Cinema. Varenna — 3 nights

Varenna is a comune (municipality) on Lake Como in the Province of Lecco in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 60km north of Milan and about 20km northwest of Lecco.Varenna was founded by local fishermen in 769, and was later allied of the commune of Milan. Change things up with these side-trips from Varenna: Tremezzina (Villa Carlotta & Villa del Balbianello), Chiesa di Santa Marta (in Bellano) and Parrocchia di S. Abbondio (in Mezzegra).
