Paris — 11 nights

City of Light
Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Place des Vosges and Ile Saint-Louis. Change things up with these side-trips from Paris: Chartres Cathedral (in Chartres), Palace of Versailles (in Versailles) and Fontainebleau (Chateau de Fontainebleau & Fontainebleau Forest (Foret de Fontainebleau)). There's still lots to do: explore the world behind art at Louvre Museum, step into the grandiose world of Chateau de Maintenon, examine the collection at Musee Marmottan Monet, and stroll around Parc des Buttes-Chaumont.
To find where to stay, maps, ratings, and other tourist information, refer to the Paris day trip site.
If you are flying in from United Kingdom, the closest major aiports are Paris-Orly Airport, Charles de Gaulle International Airport and Paris Beauvais Tillé Airport. In April, daytime highs in Paris are 18°C, while nighttime lows are 6°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 19th (Wed) to allow enough time to travel back home.
