Dijon — 3 nights

Perhaps best known for its locally produced mustard, Dijon also makes a wonderfully flavorful crème de cassis, or blackcurrant liqueur, and boasts excellent examples of regional architecture with polychrome roofs made of tiles in terracotta, green, yellow, and black placed in geometric patterns.
Step out of the city life by going to Owl's Trail and Lac Kir. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Remparts de Langres and Cathedrale Saint-Benigne de Dijon. When in Dijon, make a side trip to see Eglise Notre Dame in Auxonne, approximately Auxonne away. There's lots more to do: admire all the interesting features of Route des Grands Crus, examine the collection at Mulot & Petitjean, make a trip to Hotel de Vogue, and get engrossed in the history at Musee d'Art Sacre.
