Barcelona, the country’s second-largest city, is a cosmopolitan urban center known for its throbbing youthful energy and stellar architecture.
Go for a jaunt from Barcelona to Salou to see PortAventura about 1h 35 min away. There's still lots to do: admire the striking features of Casa Batllo, ponder the design of The Magic Fountain, make a trip to Casa Mila - La Pedrera, and stroll around Parc Guell.

The 2013 European "Capital of Culture," Marseille is the largest port city on the breezy Mediterranean coast and the second largest city in France.
Get out of town with these interesting Marseille side-trips: Avignon (Room Escape Games, Palais des Papes, &more), Paroisse Cathédrale Saint Sauveur Aix-en-Provence (in Aix-en-Provence) and Le Lavandou (Grande Plage du Lavandou, Plage de Saint-Clair, &more). There's much more to do: get a dose of the wild on Dune La Londe, pause for some serene contemplation at Saint Michel Church, kick back and relax at Bestouan Beach, and take in the spiritual surroundings of Basilique Notre-Dame de la Garde.

Well-known for the beautiful views of its famous Promenade des Anglais waterfront, Nice is an ethnically-diverse coastal port city on the French Riviera and the fifth most populated city in France.
