Perpignan — 14 nights

Perpignan is a city, a commune, and the capital of the Pyrénées-Orientales department in southern France. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Gorges de Caranca and Fantassia. Explore Perpignan's surroundings by going to Le Sentier Sous-Marin de Cerbere-Banyuls (in Cerbere), Gruissan (Le Salin de Gruissan & Notre-Dame-des-Auzils) and Gorges d'Heric (in Mons). The adventure continues: enjoy the sand and surf at La Franqui Beach, stroll through Plage du Racou, get your game on at Karting de Torreilles, and cool off at Frenzy WaterPark.

To find photos, where to stay, more things to do, and more tourist information, you can read our Perpignan trip tool.

If you are flying in from Belgium, the closest major aiports are Perpignan-Rivesaltes (Llabanère) Airport, Carcassonne Airport and Béziers-Vias Airport. In July, plan for daily highs up to 34°C, and evening lows to 22°C. On the 23rd (Sat), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can travel back home.
