Change things up with a short trip to Palace of Versailles in Versailles (about 46 minutes away). There's still lots to do: browse the exhibits of Louvre Museum, admire the striking features of Arc de Triomphe, pause for some serene contemplation at Basilique du Sacre-Coeur de Montmartre, and steep yourself in history at Eiffel Tower.

Getting from London to Paris by train takes about 3.5 hours. Other options: fly; or do a combination of car and train. The time zone difference moving from Greenwich Mean Time to Central European Standard Time is 1 hour. Expect somewhat warmer weather when traveling from London in June: highs in Paris hover around 74°F, while lows dip to 55°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 9th (Fri) early enough to catch the train to Bruges.
