Honolulu — 14 nights

In many ways much more Asian than American, Honolulu is Hawaii's largest city and its center of government, transportation, commerce, and tourism.
Explore hidden gems such as Photography Tours and Byodo-In Temple. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Honolulu: Haleiwa (Waimea Valley & Sunset Beach Park), Kahuku Farms (in Kahuku) and Waimanalo (Waimanalo Beach & Bellows Field Beach Park). There's still lots to do: kick back and relax at Waikiki Beach, tour the pleasant surroundings at Koko Crater Railway Trail, make a trip to North Shore, and go for a walk through Diamond Head State Monument.

To find photos, traveler tips, and tourist information, you can read our Honolulu trip planner.

Omaha to Honolulu is an approximately 11-hour flight. The time zone changes from Central Standard Time (CST) to Hawaii-Aleutian Standard Time (HST), which is usually a -4 hour difference. Plan for a bit warmer temperatures traveling from Omaha in May, with highs in Honolulu at 84°F and lows at 71°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 6th (Mon) so you can fly back home.
