A beautiful and romantic city fit for any itinerary, Paris brims with historic associations and remains vastly influential in the realms of culture, art, fashion, food and design.
Venture out of the city with trips to Rue du Gros-Horloge (in Rouen) and Palace of Versailles (in Versailles). There's lots more to do: admire the landmark architecture of Louvre Museum, appreciate the extensive heritage of Montmartre, contemplate the long history of Arc de Triomphe, and pause for some serene contemplation at Basilique du Sacre-Coeur de Montmartre.

Bordeaux — 6 nights

With a long history of producing regional wines since the Romans brought grapevines here during the first century, so many people consider Bordeaux to be the wine capital of the world.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Bordeaux: Chateau Paloumey (in Ludon-Medoc), La Grande Dune du Pilat (in Pyla-sur-Mer) and La Rochelle (Vieux Port & Aquarium La Rochelle). There's lots more to do: don't miss a visit to Place de la Bourse, head outdoors with Libr'et'sens, take a stroll through Promenade Sainte Catherine, and take in the spiritual surroundings of St. Andre Cathedral.
