Founded by the Spanish in 1521, San Juan is the oldest city under U.S. jurisdiction and one of the oldest in the Americas.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Old San Juan and Museo de Las Americas. Sitio Histórico de San Juan and Catedral Basilica Menor de San Juan Bautista will appeal to history buffs. There's still lots to do: kick back and relax at Condado Beach, don't miss a visit to Plaza de La Democracia, take an in-depth tour of Museum of History, Anthropology and Art, and shop like a local with The Poet's Passage.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiport is Luis Munoz Marin International Airport. In November, plan for daily highs up to 87°F, and evening lows to 76°F. On the 15th (Tue), you'll have the morning to explore before heading off to Isla de Vieques.

Isla de Vieques — 2 nights

For sixty years until 2003, most of the Isla de Vieques was closed off to the public, with the US Navy using the island's beaches and surrounding waters for drills and testing of new military machinery, such as bombs.
On the 16th (Wed), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: take an in-depth tour of Museo El Fortin de Conde Mirasol and then enjoy the sand and surf at Playa La Chiva.

Fly from San Juan to Isla de Vieques in 2 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of car and ferry; or do a combination of shuttle, taxi, and ferry. In November, daily temperatures in Isla de Vieques can reach 86°F, while at night they dip to 75°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 17th (Thu) early enough to fly to Culebra.

Culebra — 2 nights

With much of Culebra a nature refuge, the tropical island has been protected from overdevelopment, chain hotels, and the cruise set.
Start off your visit on the 18th (Fri): step off the mainland to explore Culebrita and then tour the pleasant surroundings at Playa Zoni. On the 19th (Sat), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: stroll through Flamenco Beach.

Ponce is both a city and a municipality in the southern part of Puerto Rico. Your day by day itinerary now includes Plaza del Caribe as well as Plaza Las Delicias. On the 22nd (Tue), make a trip to Plaza Las Delicias, then take in the waterfront at La Guancha de Ponce, and then look for gifts at Plaza del Caribe.

You can fly from El Yunque National Forest to Ponce in 2.5 hours. Other options are to drive; or take a shuttle. When traveling from El Yunque National Forest in November, plan for slightly colder days and about the same nights in Ponce: temperatures range from 82°F by day to 73°F at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 23rd (Wed) so you can drive to San Juan.
