Nissa la Bella (Nice the Beautiful)

Well-known for the beautiful views of its famous Promenade des Anglais waterfront, Nice is an ethnically-diverse coastal port city on the French Riviera and the fifth most populated city in France.
Change things up with these side-trips from Nice: Mairie de le Cannet (in Le Cannet), Musee Picasso (in Antibes) and Cannes (La Croisette, Vieux Port, &more). Saint-Raphael vacations have so much more to offer than an indulgent splurge on a beach.
When in Saint-Raphael, make a side trip to see Waterworld lake of gaudrade in Puget-sur-Argens, approximately Puget-sur-Argens away. There's lots more to do: make a trip to Massif de l'Esterel, let the kids burn off some steam at Jardin Bonaparte, tour the pleasant surroundings at Les Balcons du Cap Roux, and get some thrills out on the water with a waterskiing or jet-skiing adventure.

Hyères, Provençal Occitan: Ieras in classical norm, or Iero in Mistralian norm) is a commune in the Var department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in southeastern France.The old town lies 4km from the sea clustered around the Castle of Saint Bernard, which is set on a hill. Start off your visit on the 11th (Mon): enjoy the sand and surf at La Ponche Beach, then stop by Port Grimaud, then look for gifts at La Cigale Provencale, and finally appreciate the extensive heritage of Vieille Ville. Here are some ideas for day two: look for all kinds of wild species at La Route du Sel, take in the dramatic natural features at Presqu'ile de Giens, and then take a tour by water with Boat Tours & Water Sports.

Medieval Heart of France

Best known as a fortified town, Carcassonne is a walled city that provided the inspiration for the castle in Disney's "Sleeping Beauty" and the location for many scenes in Kevin Costner's movie "Robin Hood." For a daily dose of excitement, medieval jousting tournaments are held twice per day between the two walls--while this may sound like a typical touristy show, it's actually an entertaining display of combative competition and horsemanship.
On the 13th (Wed), snap pictures at Le Pont Vieux (The Old Bridge), pause for some serene contemplation at Eglise Saint-Nazaire, then explore the historical opulence of Chateau Comtal, then admire the landmark architecture of Cathedrale St-Just, and finally admire the local landmark of Fountain of Neptune. On the 14th (Thu), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: stop by Cité de Carcassonne, stroll through Canal du Midi, then stroll around Place Gambetta, and finally do a tasting at O'Vineyards.
