Moustiers Sainte-Marie — 3 nights

Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, or simply Moustiers, is a commune in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence department in southeastern France, a part of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region and considered one of the "most beautiful villages of France".It lies at the western entrance to the Gorges du Verdon. Venture out of the city with trips to Valensole (Plateau de Valensole & Lavande Angelvin), Route des Cretes La Palud (in La Palud sur Verdon) and Verdon Les Basses Gorges (in Quinson). Perhaps best known for its locally produced mustard, Dijon also makes a wonderfully flavorful crème de cassis, or blackcurrant liqueur, and boasts excellent examples of regional architecture with polychrome roofs made of tiles in terracotta, green, yellow, and black placed in geometric patterns.
Get out of town with these interesting Dijon side-trips: Reculee de Baume-les-Messieurs (in Baume-les-Messieurs), Cascades du Hérisson (in Menetrux-en-Joux) and Beaune (Bouchard Aine & Fils, Hôtel-Dieu Museum Musée de l'Hôtel-Dieu, &more).
