Barcelona, the country’s second-largest city, is a cosmopolitan urban center known for its throbbing youthful energy and stellar architecture.
Escape the urban bustle at Playa de la Pineda and Bunker del Carmel. Get some cultural insight at Basilica de la Sagrada Familia and Parc Guell. Get out of town with these interesting Barcelona side-trips: Girona (Patronat Call de Girona & Girona Cathedral (Catedral)), Catedral Basilica Metropolitana Primada de Tarragona (in Tarragona) and Colonia Guell Gaudi Crypt (in Santa Coloma de Cervello).
