Isla de Vieques — 5 nights

For sixty years until 2003, most of the Isla de Vieques was closed off to the public, with the US Navy using the island's beaches and surrounding waters for drills and testing of new military machinery, such as bombs.
Isla de Vieques is known for beaches, nature, and adventure. Your trip includes some of its best attractions: enjoy the sand and surf at Balneario Sun Bay, stroll through Playa Media Luna, glide peacefully along the water with some of the best stand-up paddleboarding in the area, and take in the waterfront at Mosquito Pier.

San Juan — 5 nights

Founded by the Spanish in 1521, San Juan is the oldest city under U.S. jurisdiction and one of the oldest in the Americas.
Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around San Juan: Playa Luquillo (in Luquillo) and Zipline (in Rio Grande). Make the 5th (Tue) a memorable day with a climbing tour. There's lots more to do: stop by Old San Juan, zoom along the surf with a waterskiing or jet-skiing adventure, kick back and relax at Condado Beach, and indulge your taste buds at Food & Drink.

Utuado is a municipality of Puerto Rico located in the central mountainous region of the island known as La Cordillera Central. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Utuado: Cueva del Indio (in Arecibo) and Parque Nacional de las Cavernas del Rio Camuy (in Camuy). There's still lots to do: Head underground at Aventura Cueva Ventana, relax and float downstream with a rafting and tubing tour, and take a pleasant ride with a tour on horseback.
