Dijon — 11 nights

Gateway to Burgundy

Perhaps best known for its locally produced mustard, Dijon also makes a wonderfully flavorful crème de cassis, or blackcurrant liqueur, and boasts excellent examples of regional architecture with polychrome roofs made of tiles in terracotta, green, yellow, and black placed in geometric patterns.
Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Dijon: Nigloland, Parc D'Attractions & Hotel (in Dolancourt), Lyon (Marche Aux Bouquinistes - Marche Aux Livres, Museum of Fine Arts of Lyon, &more) and Champagne Gilles Virey (in Bagneux-la-Fosse). Dedicate the 2nd (Mon) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. There's lots more to do: stroll through Owl's Trail, test your problem-solving skills at popular escape rooms, contemplate the long history of Cathedrale Saint-Benigne de Dijon, and pause for some serene contemplation at Paroisse Notre-Dame De Dijon.

For maps, reviews, ratings, and more tourist information, go to the Dijon road trip planning website.
