Giverny — 2 nights

Giverny is a small French village in Upper Normandy, best known as the rural retreat of the Impressionist painter Claude Monet (1840-1926).
Change things up with these side-trips from Giverny: Les Jardins Animaliers Biotropica (in Val de Reuil), Abbey of Bec-Hellouin (in Le Bec-Hellouin) and Cathedrale Saint-Pierre (in Beauvais). There's lots more to do: examine the collection at Fondation Claude Monet, get in on the family fun at Parc Saint Paul, explore the world behind art at Musee des impressionnismes, and explore the historical opulence of Chateau de Gaillon.
