Luxembourg City — 2 nights

While Luxembourg City boasts the shiny headquarters of several European institutions and EU offices, it is also home to a beautiful old town that's designated as a World Heritage Site.
Bring the kids along to Grand Ducal Palace and Le Chemin de la Corniche. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Luxembourg City: Mullerthal Trail (in Mullerthal), MNHM National Museum of Military History (in Diekirch) and Vianden Castle (in Vianden). There's still lots to do: pause for some serene contemplation at Cathedrale Notre-Dame, admire the masterpieces at Mudam Luxembourg Modern Art Museum, explore the striking landscape at Casemates du Bock, and explore the different monuments and memorials at Luxembourg American Cemetery Memorial.

Green Heart of Europe
One of the three richest countries in the world, Luxembourg celebrates its wealth of natural and historical sites as well. Landlocked by Belgium, France, and Germany, this nation represents a blend of cultures, which are evident as you explore the nation's villages, outdoor attractions, and capital. If you prefer city living, discover Luxembourg City's old town, with World Heritage status. This small nation's rolling countryside is equally charming, offering castles and plenty of opportunity for recreation and leisure. Go for a bike ride, hike the country's mountainous region, or spend time at renowned vineyards.
