4 days in Reims & Epernay Itinerary

Reims is home to Champagne--the most celebrated and celebratory wine in the world.

Kick off your visit on the 5th (Tue): admire the landmark architecture of Basilique Saint-Remi. Here are some ideas for day two: learn about winemaking at Champagnes Pommery, then do a tasting at Champagne Taittinger, then admire the landmark architecture of Palais du Tau, and finally admire the landmark architecture of Cathedrale Notre-Dame de Reims.

Singapore, Singapore to Reims is an approximately 16-hour flight. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 7 hours traveling from Singapore to Reims. When traveling from Singapore in July, plan for little chillier days and much colder nights in Reims: temperatures range from 30°C by day to 15°C at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 6th (Wed) early enough to go by car to Epernay.

Best known for its Champagne production, Épernay is a small town featuring several famous brands, including Moët & Chandon, that have been aged in the miles of tunneled cellars carved from chalk rock beneath the town.

On the 7th (Thu), do a tasting at Champagne Jean-Philippe Bosser, don't miss a visit to Avenue de Champagne, then learn about winemaking at Paul-Etienne Saint Germain, and finally do a tasting at Moet et Chandon.

You can drive from Reims to Epernay in an hour. Another option is to take a train. July in Epernay sees daily highs of 30°C and lows of 15°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 7th (Thu) to allow time to travel back home.
