Located on the south bank of the Yangtze River, Nanjing was the capital city of numerous dynasties over the ages.
Take a break from Nanjing with a short trip to Slender West Lake in Yangzhou, about 1h 25 min away. And it doesn't end there: see the interesting displays at Presidential palace of Nanjing, steep yourself in history at Jiming Temple, take an in-depth tour of The Memorial of the Nanjing Massacre, and make a trip to Confucian Temple Area (Fuzi Miao).

Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: get curious at National Museum of Natural Science and then identify plant and animal life at Gaomei Wetland.
