Vienna — 59 nights

City of Dreams

The cultural, economic, and political center of the country, Vienna has developed from its early Celtic and Roman roots into a medieval and Baroque city, with an old town that was designated a World Heritage Site in 2001.
Appreciate the collections at Belvedere Palace and Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien. Get a sense of the local culture at Schonbrunn Palace and Wachau Valley. Change things up with these side-trips from Vienna: Nationalpark Thayatal (in Hardegg), Krems an der Donau (Winzer Krems, Flugplatz Krems - Langenlois, &more) and Langenlois (Weingut Ludwig Ehn & Weinweg Langenlois). Spend the 1st (Mon) exploring nature at Nationalpark Donau-Auen. Spend the 12th (Fri) exploring nature at Nationalpark Neusiedler See – Seewinkel. There's lots more to do: examine the collection at Hofburg, head outdoors with Baerenschuetzklamm, pause for some serene contemplation at St. Stephen's Cathedral, and wander the streets of Graben and Kohlmarkt.

To see where to stay, ratings, other places to visit, and more tourist information, read Vienna trip maker site.

If you are flying in from Brazil, the closest major aiport is Vienna International Airport. Expect a daytime high around 32°C in July, and nighttime lows around 19°C.
