Toulouse — 6 nights

La Ville Rose (Pink City)

On the Garonne River, Toulouse is on the site of an ancient Roman settlement, and even today, many of the smaller streets follow their Roman counterparts, while many of the red brick buildings are built in a pseudo-Roman style.
You'll discover tucked-away gems like Musee Saint-Raymond and Mirepoix. Family-friendly places like Jardin des Plantes and Chapelle des Carmelites will thrill your kids. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Toulouse: Albi (Academie des Miniatures et des petits gouters, Pont Vieux, &more), Lourdes (Basilique de l’Immaculee Conception, Le Via Crucis/ Way of the Cross/ Chemin de Croix, &more) and Halle de Cordes-sur-Ciel (in Cordes-sur-Ciel). Next up on the itinerary: contemplate the long history of Espace EDF Bazacle, pause for some serene contemplation at Cathedrale Sainte Marie, appreciate the extensive heritage of Quai de la Daurade, and make a trip to Escalier Monumental.
