Tucson — 5 nights

Old Pueblo

One of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the country, Tucson is a city on a cultural crossroads, with European, Native American, Mexican, and Asian residents blending and sometimes conflicting with one another.
Get out of town with these interesting Tucson side-trips: Kartchner Caverns State Park (in Benson), Shamrock Farms (in Stanfield) and Sunset Trail (in Picacho). There's lots more to do: take in breathtaking views at Sabino Canyon, view the masterpieces at Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, take in nature's colorful creations at Tucson Botanical Gardens, and get outside with Outdoor Activities.

To see other places to visit, where to stay, and more tourist information, go to the Tucson travel route planner.

Kalispell to Tucson is an approximately 21.5-hour car ride. Plan for much hotter temperatures traveling from Kalispell in March, with highs in Tucson at 77°F and lows at 49°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 9th (Thu) to allow time to drive back home.
