Nissa la Bella (Nice the Beautiful)

Well-known for the beautiful views of its famous Promenade des Anglais waterfront, Nice is an ethnically-diverse coastal port city on the French Riviera and the fifth most populated city in France.
Explore Nice's surroundings by going to Village de Mougins (in Mougins) and Cannes (Lérins Islands & La Croisette). There's still lots to do: take a stroll through Old Town, explore the world behind art at Musee d'Art Moderne Et d'Art Contemporain, don't miss a visit to Promenade des Anglais, and examine the collection at Musée Marc Chagall.

The 2013 European "Capital of Culture," Marseille is the largest port city on the breezy Mediterranean coast and the second largest city in France.
Change things up with these side-trips from Marseille: Avignon (Pont d'Avignon & Palais des Papes) and Carrieres des Lumieres (in Les Baux de Provence). There's lots more to do: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Basilique Notre-Dame de la Garde, take in the awesome beauty at Montagne Sainte Victoire, take in the waterfront at Le Vieux Port, and take a stroll through The Panier.
