Kailua is a census-designated place (CDP) in Honolulu County, Hawaii, United States. Take a break from the city and head to Pillbox Hike and Makapu'u Beach. Do some cultural sightseeing at Valley of the Temples and Ulupo Heiau State Monument. Explore Kailua's surroundings by going to Ehukai Pillbox Hike (in Haleiwa), Laie Hawaii Temple (in Laie) and Pu’u O Mahuka Heiau State Monument (in Pupukea).
