The 2013 European "Capital of Culture," Marseille is the largest port city on the breezy Mediterranean coast and the second largest city in France.
Family-friendly places like Palais des Papes and Cours Mirabeau will thrill your kids. Explore Marseille's surroundings by going to Carrieres des Lumieres (in Les Baux de Provence), Pont d'Avignon (in Avignon) and Trolib (in Cassis).
