Explore the extensive landscape and diversity of nature at Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve, a protected natural area. Away from the bustle and change that is modern-day Dubai, this conservation project was established to maintain no less than five percent of the Emirate of Dubai's total landmass. Trek across the dunes on the back of a camel and look for the wildlife that has been reintroduced to its natural habitat, such as caracals, sand foxes, and Brandts hedgehogs. Enjoy a range of traditional Arab pursuits, such as archery and horse riding, or something a bit more modern, like sand boarding. Check out the falconry presentations, where you'll meet the birds of prey up close. Razak was our tour guide and he was amazing! Platinum Heritage is a great company and knows how to make your experience unique. Hands down for the entire time, organization and the tour. I highly recommend, definitely it is a well spent money! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Maybe I'm not a desert person at all, but this tour was a pretty big disappointment to me. Riding around in cars is fun in theory, but I wouldn't recommend it for those, that suffer from car sickness or ate something before the trip. Desert itself is only a vast sandy and windy area, like a beach without the fun part (sea, duh). The camp we went to later on looked rather cheap and carelessly thrown together. There were attractions like getting henna tattoos (cool), riding on a camel (no thanks, but I petted them), watching some dances (meh) and a dinner (again, meh). On the plus side it wasn't terribly expensive, but it still felt mostly like a wasted time to me. I guess I didn't manage my expectations well, but, on the other hand, no one in my group was especially impressed.
