I recently spent a very enjoyable day fishing under Roger's expert tutelage. We fished the River Alness for wild brown trout and had a super day, catching 11 fish and missing lots more (my fault, not Roger's!!) Roger is an extremely affable, generous and knowledgeable host, with an extra level of expertise on this, his home river. He also gave me some excellent casting tuition. I would have no hesitation in recommending Roger's services to anyone looking for a first class guide.

"I have fished on many different rivers over the last 25 years and stood with many different gillies & guides but for me the one man that stands out a mile is Roger Dowsett. His patience and tuition are outstanding and he had me casting beautifully in no time. I have been back to see Roger on many different occasions and would highly recommend him as a first class fishing guide...he really knows his stuff and he's great company too!
