Balfour Winery, Staplehurst

Great experience for a summer day. We visited the winery and did the self tour. If you are not particularly an expert and you dont have many questions to ask, then the self tour is perfect. And free. We ordered the wine tasting, both the standard and the premium. We liked the standard most. We also had the platter. Overall a good experience, since wineries are not often seen in the UK

I took my fiance here for a birthday weekend, we had the October dining club menu which included a 4 course meal with wine pairings. Shout out to the staff, they are awesome, super friendly and knowledgeable, we got to see they harvest process in full flow. One of the guys actually gave us a jug of freshly pressed grape juice straight from the press, absolutely gorgeous. The meal was great, all courses were tasty and portions were huge! Wine's were paired very well. During our dinner the waiter asked us what we liked and we had some great conversation. As they served dessert the staff were kind enough to decorate my fiancé's plate with birthday wishes and even gifted her a bottle of the wine she liked the most. Special mention to our friendly waiter Ollie, he was exceptional. In my ignorance I hadn't booked a cab home as I thought it would be a simple affair. I was mistaken and Ollie gave us a ride home, pure class. Highly recommend checking this winery out.
