A bustling promenade offering shopping, dining, and entertainment, Downtown Disney District is an outdoor area within the sprawling Disney resort in Anaheim. Often called the resort's "shoppertainment center," the area lies between two theme parks and their hotels. Opened in 2001 as part of the resort's massive expansion, this entertainment district encourages extended stays in the popular Disney-themed entertainment complex. The district provides free parking for up to five hours, so you can take your time to enjoy a hearty meal and a few cocktails at an open-air cafe, shop at one of the largest Disney stores in the world, or explore a range of outdoor entertainment options, nightclubs, and movie theaters. Put Downtown Disney District and other Anaheim attractions into our Anaheim road trip planner, and watch your holiday take shape.

Lots of food choices, a bowling alley and theater and a few retail shops. Considerably smaller then Orlando. Nice stop but not a destination on its own. One of the highlights was watching them...

Love some of the seasonal updates that have been made. If you're heading down this Fall/Halloween season you're in for a treat. There are lots of new Fall decorations, along with seasonal food options for Halloween, Fall, as well as Hispanic Heritage month which I think is pretty awesome! They also have some some great food truck options and live entertainment on the Disney stage for Hispanic Heritage month and a free activity for both children and kids at heart. Expect crowds as always, but not too bad. Many of the stores have cute decorations as well as seasonal offerings.

What a wonderful family place. Lots to see and do. The lights at night are so pretty too. I wish they had another big Disney store with more older characters. Definitely something for everyone to do and for all ages. Ten out of ten would totally recommend for family fun and yummy dining. Brandon at Naples is the best. The pizza is to die for.
