  • Beautiful walk in the dark to check out the lava flows from Kilauea Volcano. Worth the mile or so hike to see stars brighter than you've seen them, vegetation against the night sky, and of course the lava. Make a trip up, enter the National Park, and enjoy it. Didn't get to see it during the day but the night was amazing!!
  • This is an easy 1.2 mile walk each way. We went during the day & then again just after dark. The view is absolutely amazing! Be prepared with a jacket or raincoat because the weather can change quickly. There is a bathroom & porta potties at the parking lot but no running water.
