  • Went twice. Easy parking in the lot both times. Lifeguards were on it. First afternoon it was too windy and second morning was better. Smallish beach, more like a sandy cove. Not too rocky...

  • This is a gorgeous beach in Maui which my family and I thoroughly enjoyed, but be careful because the water can get quite treacherous - I got seriously dumped here (even though my photos don't show...

  • Good place to snorkel on the ends of the beach. I chose the North end. It's hard to enter as the waves crash the beach pretty hard but after you get past that it's smooth. The park is very nice with more shade and picnic areas than most other beaches. There seems to be ample parking during the weekdays.
  • What an absolutely beautiful beach!! Very soft sand, very easy access into water- no stumbling, no eating the sudden surge of a wave!! Snorkeling for all levels of experience! Better to get there around 10 AM because space can be a bit tight- people were 10+ ft apart and respectful of space. Great place to bring small kids, however, I thought I saw an active lifeguard at Kamaole Beach #1. Super clean, no trash!! Very light wind as it is a bit sheltered. Good idea to bring a beach ☂️! Right before you enter the beach there is a huge well maintained grass area w/ huge trees if you want to sit in the shade. Some picnic bench areas. On the south end is a bird sanctuary where you can walk through at leisure. From where we sat we could see spouts, a couple of breaches & tail slaps from the Humpbacks who migrate here from the Alaska area to give birth in these waters. Excellent beach to spend time in the sun and relax!!
